Beginning life in 2017, you can be sure of the most modern comforts aboard a luxury Maya Cruise ship. Meaning ‘Mother’ in Arabic, a Maya Cruise reflects the protection, love and peace offered by the maternal parent in Asian culture and throughout the world, ensuring your time on the bay is one with a close connection to our boat and our staff.
The traditional Vietnamese décor with French architecture that gleams throughout a Maya Cruise enhances the feeling of luxury to which you are entitled, with dark burnished wood and sleek marble a consistent theme at the heart of our ship.
We have a top-of-the-range safety system on board the Maya Cruise for your comfort and security, as well as an audacious tour itinerary of the lesser-known attractions of Halong and Lan Ha Bay; sure to whet your appetite for adventure.
Gold-plated customer service is an integral part of our company ethos and our well-trained, English-speaking staff are always happy to help you in whatever you should need on or off board.
Join the 4-star Maya Cruise in Lan Ha Bay for a discovery of Northern Vietnam’s still-hidden gems.

United KingdomAmazing interior to this boat with some very comfortable cabins – me and my wife both had completely uninterrupted sleeps. We started cruising at 12:30 and almost immediately had a delicious 4-course lunch. There was some free time after this for us to explore the boat, then we went out kayaking, which was lovely. We had a cooking demonstration during happy hour where we made spring rolls. They cooked these up later to serve at the starter for our dinner, which already had 2 starters as well as 4 other courses – it’s safe to say that we did not go hungry! Absolutely delicious as well, all of itWe decided to make use of the sunrise and get up early, which was a really good decision. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet and then went to a cave on a local rowing boat, which was really interesting. We had one more brunch on the way back to the bay.It was a very quick trip but I have to say, I had such a good time. I think I will come back maybe next year to try the 3 day version, which I can only imagine is better. Thanks Maya!

JapanWe are a Japanese couple who joined the cruise with Maya. As soon as we stepped in the bus, we had great hospitality with lots of attention for us. It felt like "omotenashi" from Japan. This is the highest level of Japanese hospitality with total dedication to the guests. We felt this on the Maya Cruise. It was a fantastic service by the crew.We had a very clean room, with some nice food and great activities in the bay. We loved the kayaking and the cave. Everything was organised very well by Nga san, thank you very much! (^o^)Definitely recommend this cruise!!!

Incredible cabins, food, staff and views – it really can’t have gone any better! As a massive added bonus, we met a lot of lovely different people on the cruise, who came from all over the world. We were welcomed with the most delicious food for lunch on the first day, and it was followed up by a multi-course dinner which was presented to us like we were kings. So good! The quality continues into the next day with a fantastic breakfast and brunch. There were many activities on the boat to keep us entertained, or you can just relax if you don’t feel like it. The squid fishing was great, as was the kayaking and the cooking class. We forced ourselves to wake up early and went to experience the sunrise tai chi at 6,15am on the sundeck. One of the crew members, Nga, was leading the session; all the passengers were a bit unbalanced and tired, but Nga looked very elegant! The whole crew were brilliant with us. Really good people to talk to and they are always there if you need anything. They made the place feel like our home for one night.I definitely recommend the Maya and would encourage people to take the 3 day option, rather than the 2 we did. Another day can only be an improvement on what is an incredible cruise!

SingaporeDefinitely one for the bucket list – A cruise around Halong Bay with Maya. This cruise really had everything - privacy, luxury, and an eager customer service. It’s a luxury service for a price cheaper than a lot of mid-range cruises around the world. It’s new, clean and has quality cabins, bathrooms and communal areas. We had a great time with the kayaking and the cooking class, which were engaging and very fun. We met a lot of new friends through the passengers and the staff, learning about new cultures and having a good time with people from all over the world – I will never forget that! Much love to the organisers and crew of the Maya Cruie, who put together and implemented the perfect itinerary, with absolutely outstanding food (and so much of it as well – we were completely full after the fancy dinner and the breakfast buffet).Another shout out to Dave, our tour guide! What a dude – so inviting and inclusive of everyone, with a big smile and a lot of knowledge about the bay and Vietnam overall. He was clearly passionate about making sure we had a good time; I thought his attitude was terrific. You won’t regret it if you book it right now. Thank you Maya for everything, I will be back for the 3 days soon!

My friends recently returned home from Vietnam and recommended the Maya Cruise to me, which goes around the lesser known area of Lan Ha Bay. My mother contacted the booking team and we were off and running – great service from here on out. From booking to drop-off, everyone involved with Maya was fantastic, and had a really positive attitude even when a few small problems arose. There are lots of activities to do in the bay, as well as many meals to round off your days of adventure. The food is really something special – props to the kitchen staff. Really nice and luxurious cabins and a cute en suite. Truly 5 star everything – you won’t miss any of the beauty if you go with Maya!
