09.30 - 09.50: Your driver will pick you up from your hotel lobby in Hanoi for more than 2 hour driving to Got Pier.
12.00: We will set sail around noontime in your new, luxurious craft. Enjoy your welcome drink as we glide past the stunning scenery, best viewed in the well-lit dining room during your delicious lunch.
Passing an ancient French lighthouse, we head through the labyrinth of natural limestone towers that make up Lan Ha Bay and neighbouring Halong Bay. The sun deck is the perfect place to be to capture the aura of this lesser-discovered area. Use the opportunity to take pictures or engage in our onboard activities, such as a refreshing dip in the pool or a specialised spa and massage treatment available on request from the Lady Ginger spa.
We will dock at Viet Hai Village on Cat Ba Island and mount our bicycles (or electric car, if needed) for a cycling tour of the various rice paddies and forests surrounding Viet Hai Village. Heading into the village, we meet local residents to discover what day-to-day life is like in this part of rural Vietnam.
Once we re-board Ginger, the open kitchen will be the location of an entertaining and informative cooking demonstration from one of our magnificent chefs. We will learn about the local ingredients and age-old preparation techniques necessary to create world-class Vietnamese food at home. Enjoy some pre-dinner drinks at the bar as we drop anchor in a tranquil area for the night. Head to the elegant dining room for dinner.
We have an evening cinema available after dinner if you feel like unwinding with a movie. Alternatively, our bar will be open all night and we have fishing equipment available if you feel like joining the crew for a bit of relaxing squid fishing before heading to your cabin to sleep.
Meals: Lunch, Dinner
The first rays of sun in the morning will greet you on the upper deck if you join our early Tai Chi session, designed to flex the body and ease the mind. A light breakfast will be served downstairs in the dining room afterward.
We set sail for Tra Bau, a quiet, open area perfect for kayaking and swimming. Choose between a kayak and a local bamboo boat as we head out into restful Tra Bau, with its emerald waters and its collection of tall, tree-topped islands, sure to put you in a state of awe.
As we head back to Ginger, a full breakfast will be spread out in the dining room. We begin our return to Hai Phong Pier, giving you just enough time to absorb the last few sunbeams from the sunbeds on the terrace deck.
We return to Hai Phong at around 11 am and get back to our car/van for the transfer to Hanoi.
You will arrive in Hanoi around 14.00. We hope you enjoyed your time in Halong Bay - Lan Ha Bay 1 night Cruise.

United StatesWe did the 1-night stay on the Ginger. The accommodations were gorgeous and super large – surpassed our expectations. The staff was great, provided a professional service. The delicious food was served. We loved all activities during the itinerary: kayaking, swimming, cooking class, Tai Chi session, etc. The scenery of Halong Bay was breathtaking. Its water was such a crystal green, clean and warm. I relaxed my back on the water, letting them drift away freely. Great trip. Overall, absolutely worth the visit and glad we chose the Ginger cruise!

Cayman IslandsWe did experience one night stay with the Ginger cruise. It was a great option among a ton of cruises in the bay. The rooms were luxurious like a 5-star hotel (we had a Suite room type), the food tasty and the whole team super friendly and fun. The Early morning Tai Chi on deck in the middle of this beautiful scenery is a great idea and unmissable.

United KingdomThis would be an unforgettable experience and the best highlight during our 3 week trip to Vietnam. We were staying overnight on a boat called Ginger cruise. Staff all had excellent English. Spacious lovely top deck had plenty of loungers and nice plunge pool. We had so many interesting activities to do but all were optional, not compulsory: cycling trip to village, (we did not do but others enjoyed), cooking class, (brilliant!), fishing for squid, Tai chi session. All of them were enjoyable.

United KingdomThis was extremely the real highlight of our Indochina trip. Ginger cruise did exceed so far our expectations. Apparently, it was a nice cruise. Checking inside, it was equipped with modern and stylish furniture and facilities. Our room was very spacious and luxurious with a private balcony. We enjoyed all of the activities from the Viet Hai village trip and a cycle ride to the cookery class, early morning tai chi and kayaking. The staff was all friendly and helpful.
