1. Preparation Checklist

- Vietnam Visa: Make sure your Vietnam visa is ready at least 2 weeks before your holiday. Apply online or through the embassy, depending on your nationality.

Research: Read a Vietnam Travel Guide to understand the local culture, food, and essential tips for travelers.

Review Itinerary: Go through your travel itinerary and ask your travel agent if you have any questions or need adjustments.

Health Information: Inform your travel agent about any health conditions or allergies you have so they can make necessary arrangements.

Travel Insurance: Purchase travel insurance in advance to cover unexpected delays, lost luggage, or medical emergencies.

Bank Notifications: Notify your bank about your travel plans to Vietnam to avoid issues using your cards. Consider exchanging some money for Vietnamese Dong (VND) before you arrive.

Internet Access: Set up an international data plan or plan to buy a SIM card in Vietnam for internet access.

Festivals: Check if any Vietnamese festivals are happening during your stay. Let your travel agent know if you want to attend.

Check Weather: Review the weather forecast for your travel dates and pack suitable clothes.

Flight Check: Confirm your departure flight details and set alarms to ensure you don't miss your flight.

2. What to Bring along for the Vietnam Trip?

- Personal papers (visa, passport, travel insurance certificate, air ticket, etc). A copy of your passport is highly recommended.

- Money (cash in US Dollar, visa card, debit card or VND cash)

- Camera, batteries and extra memory cards

- Cell phone, cell phone charger, and battery power bank

- Laptop and laptop charger (if you want to work with laptop in your trip)

- Medicine (if you are taking medicine under doctor’s prescription)

- First aid kit (bandages, aspirin, etc)

3. What Clothes/Items to Bring along for Vietnam Trip?

- Glasses/contact lenses

- Sunscreen, sunglasses, hat or umbrella if you go to Vietnam in the summer (from May to September)

- Insect repellent

- Comfortable walking shoes

- Comfortable clothes (check the weather to bring along suitable clothes or ask your travel agent). There should be at least one long pant/skirt, long-sleeved top for visiting temples/pagoda) and a waterproof jacket.

- Swimming suit (if you travel to seaside city of Vietnam)

- Your Embassy: Look up the contact details of your country’s embassy in Vietnam for assistance if needed.

- Bank Hotline: Keep the customer service numbers of your banks handy in case your cards are lost or blocked.

- Insurance Company: Save the contact number of your travel insurance provider for emergencies.
