Bai Tu Long Bay 3 Day 2 Night Cruise

The bus will arrive at your hotel lobby in central Hanoi and transfer you to Hon Gai Harbour in Halong city, where your Bai Tu Long Bay 3 day 2 night night cruise will start.

We will cut through the beautiful Red River Delta along the 3.5-hour drive, observing local life as we pass beautiful farming scenes as well as quaint villages. 

Once we have arrived at Hon Gai Harbour, we will board the traditional wooden ship and sit down to a delicious lunch in the restaurant, enjoying our first glimpses of the majestic limestone mountains jutting proudly out of the sea.

We cruise serenely through the bay for the early afternoon, docking at Vung Vieng fishing village and choosing between a kayak and a locally rowed sampan boat for our transportation. We glide around the waterways of the floating village, noting the gorgeously vibrant colours of the houses as they stand before mountains of lush green.

We conclude the first day’s activities of our Bai Tu Long Bay 3 day 2 night cruise aboard the ship, where drink deals at the bar will ease you into a peaceful evening. Dinner will be served in the dining room, after which you have the opportunity to relax at your leisure in the cabin, at the bar or out on the sundeck with loved ones.

The second day begins atop the sundeck, where our beginners’ tai chi session will be taking place in full view of the bay at dawn. We head to the dining room afterwards for a delicious breakfast, followed by boarding the smaller day boat to discover more of the bay.

On the day boat, we head out into the water and drop anchor in the Tra San area, a beautiful and secluded spot nestled amongst a range of limestone karsts. We take kayaks out into the area and around its main island of Vung Ha, relaxing throughout the morning in the water and on the beautiful islands of Tra San.

A delectable lunch back on the day boat will come before we head over to the Thay Cave, where we will get our first inside look at the geology of the bay in this most remarkable of settings. We return to the main boat after this and spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing back into your 3-day cruise around Bai Tu Long Bay.

Another beautiful dinner will herald a sparkling evening as we drop anchor in a quiet corner of the bay. Take the opportunity to fish for squid or simply relax at your leisure.

Wake up early for your final chance to join the tai chi class, where we will be greeting the dawn in a beautiful manner atop the sundeck. After this, a light breakfast will be served as the captain sets us off on the final day of our 3-day, 2-night tour in Bai Tu Long Bay.

We stop at Thien Canh Son Cave, known to be the most magical in Bai Tu Long Bay. Here, we take a tour of the illuminated insides and head to the viewing platform outside via the stone steps within. We return to the ship for the last time after this and begin our cruise back to the harbour while a fantastic early lunch is served in the dining room.

Once we have reached Hon Gai Harbour, we disembark and say our goodbyes to the crew. The bus will be waiting at the harbour to takes us back to Hanoi, where we will arrive in the hours of the late afternoon.
