Halong Sen Day Cruise

08.00 – 08.30: Pick-up will be from your hotel in central Hanoi. We will take the drive to Halong city after this, following the expressway in our luxury limousine bus.

12.15:  We find the Halong Sen Day boat awaiting us in the open bay in Halong city. Boarding will be through Tuan Chau harbour in the southern part of the port city, where we will have time to explore the surrounds of the ship for our quiet Halong Bay day cruise.

12.30:  Sit down to a beautiful lunch to start the cruise in a delicious manner. Traditional Vietnamese dishes are served as we make our way into the country’s most beautiful scene. Take the time to relax as we cruise slowly towards our first destination.

14.00:  Halong Sen Day Cruise sails in a languid manner through the Hoa Cuong area, ensuring that you have a good amount of time in one of Halong's most beautiful corners. Grab pictures from the sundeck as we are humbled by towering limestone rocks, some of which are well-known throughout the country for their fascinating and distinctive shapes.

14.30:  Passing through Hoa Cuong, we arrive at the floating village of Ba Hang. This is a gorgeous collection of colorful houses left abandoned after its villagers moved onto land. Our guide will explain how life used to operate in Ba Hang as we kayak around its waterways and hear of the daily routines of the villagers.

15.15:  We re-board the boat and continue our Halong Bay day tour through the magnificent seascape around us, arriving soon at Thien Cung Cave. This is one of the lesser-known caves in Halong Bay, so we should be able to enjoy its peace on a walk inside. Follow the guide as they explain about the limestone geology of the bay and the various legends that Halong’s locals have attributed to its shapely rock formations.

16.00:  Return to Halong Sen Day Cruise once more and take your seat on the sundeck for a cooking demonstration led by our chef. Have a go at creating Vietnamese spring rolls and relax with free lotus tea and candied lotus seeds. There will also be a traditional tea ceremony held on the way back to the harbour, giving passengers the chance to learn about tea culture in Vietnam and the ancient way to brew tea.

17.00:  We reach the pier and step off the Halong Sen Day Cruise. Take the limousine bus transfer back to the capital, where your full-day tour of Halong Bay will draw to a close.
