Vietnam and Cambodia Discovery 15 Days for SOLO travellers

Welcome to Vietnam’s capital: Hanoi. Meet our tour guide and driver at the airport and then transfer to the hotel in the city center for check-in. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure to recover from jet lag and explore the city on your own.

Please note: Standard check-in time is at 14.00. Early check-in is not included and subject to hotel’s availability.

8h15 – 08h30: Our Tour guide and our Bus pick up at your hotel and start to discover Hanoi City

08h45: Arrive at Tran Quoc Pagoda located on Golden Fish Island in West Lake. It is the oldest pagoda in Hanoi built in the 6th century. 

09h30: Visit Ho Chi Minh Complex, the final resting place of Vietnamese great father or Uncle Ho. You have a chance to see the embalmed body of Ho Chi Minh then walk around the garden to see 2 houses where he lived & worked from 1954 to 1969. 

Then visit One Pillar Pagoda where worships the Goddess of Mercy – It is the most unique pagoda in the world 

11h15: Visit Vietnam Ethnology Museum to learn about the culture of 54 ethnic groups living in the whole country of Vietnam.

Special Note: We will visit Vietnamese Women’s Museum instead of Vietnam Ethnology Museum closed on Mondays 

12h45: Have lunch at our restaurant. You have an opportunity to enjoy Vietnamese cuisine. Vegeterian foods are available

14h00-14h15: Continue to visit Temple of Literature – the first university of Vietnam, The Temple of Literature (Van Mieu Quoc Tu Giam) is one of the most attractive tourist spots in Northern Vietnam. The Temple of Literature was founded in 1070.

15h15: Keep going to visit Hoa Lo Prison, the prison was built by the French, from 1886 to 1901, when Vietnam was still a part of French Indochina. The French called the prison Maison Centrale. The prison was called “A Hell on Earth” and now the prison is like a war museum for those who want to understand more about the war against France of Vietnamese people.

16h30: Our Bus take you back to the Hotel.

7h15 – 7h30: Our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel. We take you to Ninh Binh province which is far from Hanoi city about 120 km.

9h30 : Have a short break for 20 minutes to relax

10h30: The first destination in this trip is visit Hoa Lu ancient capital. This is the first capital of Vietnam. Come to visit Hoa Lu, you will learn about why the capital was moved to Hanoi nowadays. You are impressed on an outstanding architecture when entering temples of King Dinh and King Le, the first and second emperors of ancient Vietnam, built in the 17 century. Try to feel ancient atmospheres in Hoa Lu ancient capital.

11h45: Have buffet lunch in the restaurant with a lot of local foods goat meat, fried rice… Vegetarian food is always available in the buffet lunch.

13h00: Visit Tam Coc by 1,5 hour bamboo boat. During the boat trip, you will be surprised by the charming beauty here with paddy field, river, water, cloud, sky and stuning cave system. All make  a masterpiece which Vietnamese people called “ Halong Bay on land “

14h30: Continue the tour with 45 minutes for cycling around the village to discover the life of local people.

15h30 : Get on the bus to go to Mua Cave ( Dancing Cave ). Walk up almost 500 steps, you can reach to the top of Lying Dragon Moutain, have an amazing panoramic view of Tam Coc from here.

16h30 – 17h00 : Get on the Bus to return to Hanoi. 19h30 : Arrive to Hanoi and get drop off at the Hotel.

08.15 - 08:45 | Pick-up: Our shared Limousine Bus driver will collect guests from hotels. 

11:45-12:00: Welcome to V’Spirit Cruises lounge at Tuan Chau International Habour and complete check- in procedures.

12:00 - 12:30: Transfer to V’Spirit Cruises by a tender boat. Embark V’Spirit Cruises and enjoy a welcome drink while listening to cruise briefing and safety introductions.

13:00: Have lunch at The Dawn Restaurant while V’Spirit Cruise takes you through some of the most breathtaking sceneries from Halong Bay to its secretive “neighbour” called Lan Ha Bay.

14:45: Explore the Tra Bau area by kayaking, get closer to the rocky islands and admire the stunning nature of the bay. You have chance to kayak pass by a hidden temple of the fishing villagers if weather permits.

16:15: It’s time for swimming and water activities, immersed in the green water of the Bay with floats.

17:00: Join a cooking demonstration to get to know Vietnamese cuisine and create your own special flavors.

17:30-18:30: Enjoy a Sunset party with some complimentary while waiting for twilight over limestone islands. Take the chance of HAPPY HOUR to have your favorite drinks.

19:00: Dinner at the restaurant. Fine dining setting with degustation expedience will create your memorable moments.

21:00: Enjoy evening views of the bay on the top deck, join some game show at the top deck bar to get some nice local gifts. 

Optional: Try your luck with squid fishing.

06:15: Enjoy relaxing moment with sunrise minutes combining Tai Chi session on sundeck.

7:00: Have a light breakfast on board.

7:30-8:45: Explore Bright cave on a traditional rowing bamboo boat with locals.

9:00: Return to the cruise, check-out.

9:30: Enjoy a luxury Set menu brunch at the restaurant while cruising back to Tuan Chau port.

11:00: Disembark at Tuan Chau port.

15:00: Drop off at your hotel in Hanoi the Old Quarter. 

Then our driver will bring you to the airport for the flight to Danang.

Picked up by our driver in Danang and transfer to hotel in Hoian for staying overnight.

12.30 – 12.45: The van and tour guide will pick you up at your hotel (Da Nang area) 

Start your adventure with Cam Thanh Coconut for being a fisherman at Cam Thanh Coconut Village, you will experience about learning traditional fishing techniques and how to row unique Vietnamese bamboo basket boats while exploring the tranquil coconut palm waterways of the past war. On this tour, we provide authentic social and cultural insight into the local way of life in Vietnam. Furthermore, you will take part in some hands-on activities which are fun, safe, and interested are suitable for everybody.

About 2.30 pm: Visit to the next destination to Hoi An Old Town. 

Go to the Phuc Kien Chinese Assembly Hall, a colorful mélange of bright gates, dragon statues, and elaborate rooftops. Get an introduction to ancestor worship while visiting the family altar and watching local devotees making offerings. 

You will see remarkably well-preserved old houses Phung Hung Ancient House or Tan Ky Ancient House that have withstood 200 years of weather and war. Learn about the prosperous merchants who used to live in these homes, trading with buyers from all around the world. Especially, you will enjoy art shows at Hoi An Traditional Performing Arts House. 

Make a stop at the Japanese Bridge. The bridge spans a small waterway and was constructed more than 400 years ago to connect the Japanese community with the Chinese who lived on the other side of the water. Admire the carvings and paintings inside the bridge, learning about their symbolism and cultural significance. 

Additionally, visit some of Hoi An’s well-known handicraft shops and artwork galleries. Discover smaller laneways and local neighborhoods, gaining a better appreciation of Hoi An’s endless charm.

Dinner with Hoi An specialty food. 

6.00 pm: Enjoy your time with the boat ride on Hoai River and release the flower lanterns to pray for the best lucks to you and your family. You will immerse yourself in the fanciful space of the lantern street. Free your time with the night market and enjoy the shimmering space of Hoi An.

6.30 pm – Return to your hotel. 

07:30 am – 08:00 am: Our Minivan and a tour guide pick you up at your hotel lobby, enjoy a ride to Ba Na Hills via Cable Car

Spend your time in the most modern Cable Car in Southeast Asia, visit Dream Stream Cable car Station and admire the breath-taking view of Da Nang coastal city.

After finishing the first cable car, you will visit The Golden Bridge – which has the most exotic structure and also the world’s most prominent pedestrian bridges highlighted by the British Guard newspaper, Le Jardin D’amourn (consists of 9 gardens), Linh Ung pagoda.

Sit on the 2nd Cable Car to visit the French Village where you could enjoy Street Music, watch Art’s statue, Campanile, Nine Floor Goddess Shrine, Tombstone Temple, Watch Carnival Performance Show, Square Du Dome …Challenge the most popular adventure ride – Slide of Tube Car (free ride)…

Have lunch at restaurant (Buffet).

3:00 pm: Return to the Cable Car for leaving Ba Na Hills

4:45 – 5:45 pm: Our Minivan brings you back to your hotel.

Breakfast at hotel. 2.5 hours before your flight, our driver will transfer you to Danang Airport for the flight to Ho Chi Minh City.

Meet our driver in Ho Chi Minh City and head to hotel for check-in. Free time.

Stay overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Take the morning trip to visit Independence Palace, also known at the Reunification palace, was built on the sight of the former Norodom palace. The Independence palace is a widely known landmark of Ho Chi Minh City and was designed by the architect Ngo Viet Thu. Continue seeing the beautiful structures from the French Colonial times such as the Notre Dame Cathedral, the historic Central Post Office. Followed by the remarkable site of the War Remnants Museum the museum has a vast display of the both the Indochina wars. 

Have lunch at local restaurant.

Depart for Cu Chi tunnel, the trip will take approximately one and a half hours bus driving. Upon arrival, before exploring the tunnels, you will have some short introduction followed by introductory video about how the tunnels were constructed and how the people survived in the harsh conditions of the war time. Then, spend your time to explore the remaining area and tunnel systems which included the special constructed living areas with kitchens, bedrooms side by side with other martial facilities like storage, weapons factories, field hospitals, and command centers helping whoever lives inside the tunnels meet their basic needs. Besides, there are also many hidden trap doors and dangerous traps within the maze-like tunnels for security purpose during the war. Afterward, special tea and cassava (guerilla’s food during the war) will be served. 

Break time for relax or time for those who want to try the real shooting gun. 

Return to Saigon.

Leaving the hustle and bustle of Ho Chi Minh City and start your trip to depart for My Tho, the town lies on the left side of the Mekong River. Upon arrival, visit Vinh Trang pagoda which sated back to the late 19th century. Then boarding the sampan and cruising down the river around the four beautiful islands known as Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix and Tortoise islands. 

Stop over at Unicorn Island, go walking around country lane and seeing orchards, enjoy tropical fruits, folk song music which performed by the local people. Visit the fruit plantation. 

Riding a hand-rowed sampan through Thoi Son canal and treat yourself in the beauty of the countryside, visit the family business, visit honey-bee farm, enjoy honey tea and coconut candy workshop. 

Have lunch at local restaurant. Break time.

In the afternoon, time for cycling around the Tan Thach village, meet the local villagers to experience the local daily life in the Mekong delta. Hammock relaxing and enjoy cool breeze for those can’t join the cycling trip. Return to Ho Chi Minh City.

Breakfast at hotel. 3.5 hours before your flight, our driver will transfer you to Tan Son Nhat Airport for the flight to Siem Reap.

Meet our driver in Siem Reap and head to hotel in Siem Reap. Please note: Standard check-in time is at 14.00. Early check-in is not included and subject to hotel’s availability.

Our tour guide and driver will bring you to visit a local village. Lunch at local restaurant. Arrive at the quay and board a local boat for a 2-hour ride on the Tonle Sap Lake, also known as the Great Lake of Cambodia. Find out how communities live and work on the lake; see the floating schools, markets, and police stations, among others; observe their daily lives. 

Return to hotel. Stay overnight in Siem Reap.

Explore Angkor's ancient wonders with a new group of friends! The first stop is the Angkor Thom complex. Within these magnificent walls, you'll discover the fascinating beauty of Bayon and the world-famous Ta Prohm (Tomb Raider) Temple. Following that, satiate your hunger at one of the many local restaurants within the Angkor Complex with some delicious Cambodian cuisine! Your final two stops will be at the massive and gorgeous Angkor Wat, followed by a stunning sunset view from the top of Phnom Bakheng. The temples on this tour are among the largest in the Angkor Complex, and Phnom Bakheng has a 300 person limit at the peak, so we keep the temple count low to ensure enough time at each spectacular stop! We'll return to town once the sun has set (around 6:30 p.m.) and your legs have grown tired.

Begin the tour by visiting a local market known as Rulous market to see villagers selling their home-grown vegetables or a local pagoda to learn about religion. Then, take a tour of the astounding floating villages known as stilt-houses, which stand between 8 and 10 meters high, as well as the school, farm, and even the hospital, where people have bravely adapted to some of the most unimaginable conditions, all while smiling. From the comfort of our boat trip, take in the beautiful atmosphere of this one-of-a-kind village. After this awe-inspiring experience, you will return to the hotel for your own leisure time.

Discover the holy grounds of Phnom Kulen, with its waterfall, giant reclining Buddha, and river-bed carvings. We begin the tour by venturing off the beaten path, followed by an awe inspiring drive up the mountain, where we will explore the abundant greenery and Kulen Waterfall, Kulen Mountain. Take a dip if you like, or just sit back and watch the locals enjoy their sacred land. Make your way up to the River of a Thousand Lingas, a beautiful river with sophisticated carvings covering its floor. Get a blessing the Cambodian way with Holy Water from this sacred river. Hike up to the peak of the mountain to see the beautiful Pagoda and its world-famous Reclining Buddha at rest. Around 5:30 p.m., relax for a comfortable air-conditioned ride back to the city! Keep in mind: Bring a swimsuit. Bring sunscreen to protect your skin from the sun! Bring mosquito repellent — there are pesky bugs all over Cambodia! We recommend wearing comfortable shoes — 10-20 minute walk on a small trail.

Have breakfast at hotel. 3.5 hours before flight, our driver will bring you to Siem Reap airport. Take your flight home. The room is at your disposal until 12.00 noontime.
