Itinerary

Activities: Exploring the must-see places in Quang Binh including La Vang Church, Quang Tri Citadel, the Ben Hai River, and Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park.

06.30 – 07.00 am: Our bus will collect you from your hotel lobby and we will begin the drive to Phong Nha from Hue. Along the way, we will look out for various sites such as La Vang Church, Quang Tri Citadel, the Ben Hai River and Hien Luong Bridge.

12.00 pm: We will arrive at Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park. After unloading from the bus, we will have a buffet lunch at a local restaurant.

Once we have finished lunch, we will head to Phong Nha Cave via a cruise on the Son River. We sail through the ancient rocky gateway and into the cavernous first section. Marvel at the sights of gigantic rock formations that have developed imaginative names over time: the Lion, the Fairies, the Kneeling Elephant, etc.

We head through the entrance chamber to what is referred to as the ‘Twilight Zone’, a broad pathway of artificial lights that stretches 1.2km deeper into the cave. The name for this section of Phong Nha comes from the mystical glistening that happens when the light is reflected off the dripping stalactites, creating an amazingly tranquil atmosphere.

Grab as many photos as you can while we row back towards the cave mouth, returning across the Son River to the bus.

15.30 pm: We will drive back to Hue over the famous Ho Chi Minh Trail, learning about its various sites and famous history.
