Siem Reap Treasure Tour

Upon your arrival at Siem Reap International Airport, you will be warmly greeted by your tour guide and driver and be transferred to the city center for hotel check-in. Free time on your own to explore Siem Reap for the rest of the day before staying overnight in Siem Reap.  Your trip to Cambodia will start with Siem Reap treasure tour 4 day.

We set out early in the morning to avoid the crowds, starting with a visit to the fabulous Ta Prohm which has been swallowed by the jungle and creates an astonishing combination of nature and architecture. Being clasped by kapok trees in their mighty roots, the so-called 'Tomb Raider Temple' gives you a magical & otherworldly feel. Leaving the ancient temple ruins, we move to the next destination – the awe-inspiring Angkor Wat which is the ultimate reflection of Khmer genius. Marvel at the temple’s reflective pools and vast moat, then wander through the galleries to see continuous bas-reliefs carving stories from mythology.   

Have lunch on your own.  

Begin the afternoon with an exploration of the mysterious Royal City Angkor Thom, passing stone sculptures of expressive gods and demons. Your next stop is the Bayon, famous for the hundreds of smiling faces that decorate the towers. Afterwards, venture to the complex comprising of the Baphuon, Elephant Terrace, Leper King Terrace and Royal Palace area. Overnight stay in Siem Reap.

Today, we set out early in the morning to avoid the traffic on the road. The 2-hour scenic drive through rice fields and rural Cambodian villages toward the north bring you to Phnom Kulen Mountain which has a major symbolic importance for Cambodians as the birthplace of the ancient Khmer Empire. Take the car to the summit of the mountain where you will explore a modern style pagoda that offers spectacular views of the Angkor area. Then, visit the massive reclining Buddha statue made of sandstone which attracts people seeking blessings. Continue to see The River of A Thousand Lingas, well-known for carvings of sacred lingas in sandstone formations on the river bed and banks. While there, you may wish to wash your hands and faces, as it is believed that the water which flows through these sacred carvings gives good luck and good health. Later, walk to the impressive waterfalls of Phnom Kulen to plunge into the cold refreshing water that flows through the falls. It can also offer you many photo opportunities as the falls can be the perfect backdrop. Open the lunch boxes to enjoy the stunning picnic meal in the middle of this wonderful scenery. If time permits, your tour guide can take you around and venture off the beaten path to the mysterious jungle. Drive back to Siem Reap and reach the town in the late afternoon. 

Today, we will participate in the peaceful journey, including a visit to the quiet village in the rural area and a scenic boat trip on the tranquil lake before coming back to Siem Reap for your onward flight. Our friendly and experienced tour guide will try the best to answer your questions related to your local interests on the way. The journey passes beautiful countryside with lush rice paddies, cattle on the road as well as local houses in the outskirts. The car drops you off at the local village; then, your guide will take you around the village houses to come into contact with local residents while seeing them going about their daily life activities such as the way they wash their vehicles, sell gasoline in whiskey bottles or how they sell food at the small shops on the side of the small streets. Later, you continue to wander to the field to get into the local life by tasting some tropical fresh fruits or try a 30-minute ride by old means of transport, the ox/buffalo-cart. Stroll around the rice paddies before departing for the next destination. Savor a fresh coconut and some homemade rice wine offered by the friendly host while observing locals doing daily work such as making rice wine, handicraft works. 

The next stop is the floating community of Me Chrey Village. Upon arrival at the boat pier, you will board a long-tail boat for a dreamy cruise to watch the serene life on the river. It is so interesting to witness the daily life of locals who spend their entire life on the floating village. Seize this chance to take many photos as the boat excursion offers picturesque sightseeing along the channel. After the boat arrives back at the harbor, you will get back into the car which will drive you back to Siem Reap (Note: Floating community is highly preferred from September to February).     

Have your own time at leisure in the town. Your Siem Reap Treasure Tour 4 Day will end with the transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
