Activities: Taking an informative cooking class at a local vegetable allotment before exploring the intricate maze of the Cu Chi Tunnels.
Our bus will pick you up at around 07.30 am and take you northwest towards the Cu Chi Tunnels.
On the way to the tunnels, we stop by a traditional Vietnamese garden full of spices, herbs and many vegetables. We will learn about the importance of mushrooms at the Mushroom House before a chef and pharmacist tell us about the importance of ancient herbs and spices in both Vietnamese cooking and medicine.
We will don our Non La, the iconic Vietnamese cone hat, as we stroll around the garden, picking the freshest vegetables by hand. A chef will show you how to create fantastic Vietnamese dishes from the vegetables, herbs and spices that you pick, after which we will eat our delicious creations for lunch.
The start of the afternoon will see us visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, 250 kilometres of a web-like subway system that runs to the Cambodian border. The Viet Cong used this secret system for living, plotting, storing weapons and taking care of the wounded during the American War.
We conclude the Cu Chi Tunnels & Cooking Class Full Day tour in Ho Chi Minh City, once we have dropped you off at your hotel. We thank you for coming with us and we very much hope to serve you again.
